Ma/Gaisa Rumble in the City Set to Unite Generations of Namibian Music

Ma/Gaisa Rumble in the City Set to Unite Generations of Namibian Music. The Ma/Gaisa Rumble in the City, hosted by Hoadadi Trading, is set to light up Zoo Park in Windhoek on 18 October 2025, bringing together two iconic generations of Ma/Gaisa musicians for an unforgettable live performance.

For the first time ever, Raphael & Pele (Marus/Gereseb) will share the stage with T-bozz & Staika (Nami/Ae Di Aokha), creating a fusion of Ma/Gaisa’s traditional roots and contemporary flair. Organisers describe the event as a celebration of Namibian creativity and cultural continuity within the music industry.

According to Webster Snewe, the event organiser, the show aims to revive the culture of outdoor, family-friendly live performances that once defined Namibia’s entertainment scene. “The main goal is to bring back outdoor shows that celebrate Namibian creativity and give families a safe space to enjoy music together,” Snewe said.

The concert follows the success of the Ma/Gaisa Business Challenge held earlier this year, which attracted strong community participation and highlighted the growing appetite for local entertainment experiences.

Hoadadi Trading says the initiative also seeks to strengthen corporate involvement in Namibia’s creative sector, demonstrating how public-private collaboration can support artists and expand the industry’s economic potential.

The family-oriented event promises an evening of live performances, traditional food stalls, and community engagement, appealing to both long-time fans and new audiences.
