Kasi Cup 2025 Concludes with Thrilling Wins and Community Celebration. Windhoek’s John Ya Otto Sports Field came alive this past weekend as the Kasi Cup 2025 wrapped up, celebrating community, talent, and youth sports. The annual tournament showcased impressive skill, teamwork, and dedication across both soccer and netball competitions, drawing players and supporters from across the city.
In soccer, Ondobe Eleven claimed the championship title, with Okahandja Park United finishing second and Bravo United securing third place. The netball competition saw Goreangab NC take first place, followed by Otjomuise NC in second and Thlabanelo NC rounding out the top three.
Organizers praised all participants for their sportsmanship and commitment throughout the tournament. “Every team displayed remarkable skill and energy. The Kasi Cup is not just about competition—it’s about fostering unity, resilience, and community pride,” said one of the tournament coordinators.
Supporters also played a crucial role, with their enthusiasm and encouragement energizing players on the field. The vibrant atmosphere reflected the heart of Windhoek’s informal settlements, demonstrating the power of sport to bring people together.
Sponsors Omulunga Radio and OTB Sport were acknowledged for their essential support in making the 2025 Kasi Cup possible. Their contributions continue to strengthen community sports initiatives, creating opportunities for young athletes to develop and shine.
The event concluded with a message of gratitude and anticipation: a thank you to all teams, supporters, and volunteers who made the tournament a success, and a reminder to start preparing for the next edition.
