FIFA Delegation Hosts Financial Governance Workshop to Strengthen Football Administration in Namibia. A high-level FIFA delegation has arrived in Namibia for a three-day workshop dedicated to strengthening financial governance within the football sector. The workshop, taking place from 9 to 11 November 2025 at the Hilton Hotel in Windhoek, brings together general secretaries and chief finance officers from various football associations and organisations.

The initiative focuses on enhancing financial management, accountability, transparency, and the efficient use of resources within football administration. It forms part of FIFA’s ongoing efforts to promote sound governance and sustainable management practices across its member associations.

By addressing financial governance challenges, the programme seeks to equip football administrators with practical tools and knowledge to improve compliance, ensure effective resource allocation, and uphold integrity in the management of football funds.

The sessions will cover critical aspects such as budgeting, financial reporting, internal controls, and risk management, all aimed at building stronger institutional frameworks within national football bodies.

For Namibia, this workshop represents an opportunity to align local football governance with international standards while fostering credibility and trust among stakeholders, sponsors, and fans. It also reinforces the commitment of the Namibia Football Association (NFA) to professionalise operations and ensure that resources are channelled efficiently to support football development at all levels.
