Deputy Minister Highlights Entrepreneurship at Blue Growth Series 2026 Launch

Deputy Minister Highlights Entrepreneurship at Blue Growth Series 2026 Launch. Deputy Minister Hon. Dino Ballotti addressed the official launch of the Standard Bank Blue Growth Series Kick-Off 2026, underscoring the critical role of entrepreneurship in shaping Namibia’s economic future.

In his remarks, Ballotti emphasized that while ideas are powerful, their true impact is realized when supported by capital, mentorship, and belief. He noted that with over 72% of Namibia’s population under the age of 35, young people are not only the leaders of tomorrow but are already contributing significantly to the economy today.

The Deputy Minister highlighted the importance of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), startups, and entrepreneurs as engines of job creation. He called for stronger partnerships between government, banks, and the private sector to support innovation and scale Namibian businesses.

Ballotti also encouraged citizens to support local production and buy Namibian products, stressing that every locally made item contributes to job creation, skill development, and keeping money circulating within the country.

Delivering a motivational message to young entrepreneurs, he urged them to take bold steps in business: “Start the business. Take the risk. Learn from failure but never give up.”

The Blue Growth Series 2026 initiative, hosted by Standard Bank Namibia, aims to empower entrepreneurs by fostering connections, resilience, and sustainable growth. The event brought together stakeholders from across the business community to reaffirm the importance of entrepreneurship in driving Namibia’s economic transformation.

Ballotti’s address reinforced the government’s commitment to supporting enterprise development and highlighted the collective responsibility of all sectors to nurture innovation and strengthen Namibia’s economic base.
