Coastal Run Tour 2026 Opens with Swakopmund Kickoff. The much-anticipated Coastal Run Tour 2026, powered by Heineken® 0.0 and Radio Electronic, has officially opened for entries, setting the stage for one of Namibia’s most exciting running seasons along the coast.

The opening race, the Heineken Blue & Pink Skydiving Club Run, will take place on 9 May 2026 in Swakopmund. Organizers promise a vibrant and energetic atmosphere, welcoming runners of all levels. Distances on offer include 2.5km, 5km, 10km, 15km, 21.1km, and the full 42.2km marathon, ensuring accessibility for beginners and seasoned athletes alike.

Every participant will receive a medal and goodie bag, while the first 120 registered runners will be rewarded with a free event T-shirt, reviving one of the tour’s most popular traditions courtesy of Teamflippy. In addition, this year’s route has been designed with fewer complicated loops, creating a smoother and more enjoyable running experience, though marathon runners will still face the challenge of building endurance across the course.

The Coastal Run Tour emphasizes community participation, inviting families, schools, clubs, and companies to join in. Organizers expect the event to be one of the largest running gatherings on Namibia’s coast, blending fitness, fun, and coastal charm.
