City of Windhoek Opens Applications for Firefighting and Rescue Certificate. The City of Windhoek Emergency Training Centre has officially opened applications for its next intake into the Level 1 National Certificate in Firefighting and Rescue Operations. This intensive six-month programme aims to equip trainees with critical emergency response skills and foundational knowledge in fire and rescue services.

The course is priced at N$26,980, and is designed for individuals pursuing careers in firefighting, rescue operations, or related emergency services. Successful candidates will undergo structured training at the City’s dedicated facility, preparing them for real-world emergency response environments.

Application forms and the required medical certification documents are available at the Fire Brigade located in the Northern Industrial Area. Alternatively, applicants can access and download the forms online via the official City of Windhoek website under the “Forms – Economic Development Department Documents” section:👉 www.windhoekcc.org.na/downloads

Deadline for applications is 13 June 2025. Interested individuals are encouraged to apply early and ensure all supporting documents are submitted before the closing date.
