Aviators Netball Club Extends Support to Groot Aub Primary

Aviators Netball Club Extends Support to Groot Aub Primary. The Namibia Airports Company Limited (NAC) Aviators Netball Club combined sport and social responsibility this past weekend, participating in the Corporate Social Netball League’s outreach program at Groot Aub Primary School.

As part of the initiative, the Aviators presented toiletries to learners and engaged in motivational talks with the girls, encouraging them to focus on their studies while also embracing netball as a positive extracurricular activity. The outreach highlighted the importance of balancing education with sports, aiming to inspire young learners to pursue both academic and athletic excellence.

Beyond their community engagement, the Aviators also took to the court for their first league match against the MVA Fund team. The game proved to be intense, with the Aviators securing a hard-fought victory of 7–2. The win marked a strong start to their campaign in the Corporate Social Netball League, underscoring their commitment to both competitive success and community impact.

Special recognition was given to NAC’s Equipment Manager, Herman Haukongo, for his dedication and support in making the outreach and match participation possible. His contribution reflects the broader commitment of NAC staff to fostering teamwork, discipline, and community development through sport.

The Aviators’ involvement demonstrates how corporate teams can extend their influence beyond the workplace, using sport as a platform to empower communities and inspire the next generation. By combining competitive spirit with social responsibility, the club is setting an example of how athletic organizations can contribute meaningfully to education and community upliftment.
