Namibia and Angola Sign ICT Cooperation MoU at ANGOTIC 22026. Namibia and Angola have strengthened bilateral ties in the digital and media sectors with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the official opening of ANGOTIC 2026.
The agreement was signed by Namibia’s Minister of Information and Communication Technology, Honourable Emma Theofelus, and Angola’s Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, Mário Oliveira. The MoU establishes a framework for collaboration in areas of mutual interest, including the promotion of cooperation in ICT and media, the organisation of joint events and initiatives, the exchange of knowledge and expertise among employees, and collaboration on cybersecurity
.The signing reflects the shared commitment of both countries to deepen bilateral relations and leverage technology and communication to support sustainable socio-economic development. By creating opportunities for knowledge exchange and joint initiatives, the MoU is expected to strengthen regional cooperation and enhance digital transformation efforts.
