Ministry Concludes Education and Career Outreach in Kavango and Zambezi Regions

Ministry Concludes Education and Career Outreach in Kavango and Zambezi Regions. The Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture (MEIYSAC) has successfully concluded its Ministerial-Led Education and Career Fair outreach programme across the Kavango East, Kavango West, and Zambezi regions.

The initiative reached more than 2,000 Grade 11 and AS Level learners from 52 schools, providing valuable guidance on academic pathways, career opportunities, and skills development. The outreach was designed to empower young people with the knowledge and tools needed to make informed decisions about their futures.

Key institutions participated in the programme, including the Namibia Youth Service (NYS), International University of Management (IUM), Namibia Qualifications Authority (NQA), Welwitchia University, Namibia Students Financial Assistance Fund (NSFAF), Namibian College of Open Learning (NAMCOL), Rundu Vocational Training Centre (VTC), Zambezi VTC, University of Namibia (UNAM), Nkurenkuru VTC, and the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST). These institutions engaged directly with learners, offering information on admissions, funding opportunities, and training programmes.

The Ministry expressed appreciation to all participating institutions and schools for their support in making the outreach a success. Learners in the Zambezi Region included those from Sanjo SSS, Nsundano Technical School, Mafwila SSS, Ibbu C.S., Schuckmansburg C.S., and Lusese C.S.

By bringing together educational and vocational institutions under one platform, the outreach highlighted opportunities available to learners and reinforced the importance of aligning academic choices with career aspirations.

The programme forms part of ongoing efforts by MEIYSAC to empower young people and ensure they contribute meaningfully to national development.
