Education and Career Fair Outreach Inspires Learners in Rundu. On 12 March 2026, the Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture hosted an Education and Career Fair Outreach at Dr Romanus Kamunoko Senior Secondary School in Rundu, offering learners valuable exposure to education and career pathways.
The outreach brought together learners from 13 schools across the region, creating a platform for them to engage directly with leading institutions and organizations. The event was designed to provide guidance on academic opportunities, vocational training, and career development, ensuring that learners gain insights into the diverse options available to them after completing secondary education.
Participating institutions included the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST), University of Namibia (UNAM), Welwitchia University, Namibia College of Open Learning (NAMCOL), Namibia Qualifications Authority (NQA), National Youth Service, and the Rundu Vocational Training Centre, among others. Each institution showcased its programmes and services, while representatives interacted with learners to answer questions and provide advice on application processes, study requirements, and career prospects.
Officials emphasized that the fair was part of ongoing efforts to strengthen career guidance and ensure that young people are better prepared to make informed decisions about their futures. By connecting learners with institutions and training providers, the outreach aims to bridge the gap between secondary education and further opportunities in higher learning or vocational pathways.
The event also highlighted the importance of collaboration between schools, government, and tertiary institutions in supporting youth development. Learners expressed appreciation for the opportunity to explore different career options and gain clarity on the steps required to pursue their ambitions.
The Education and Career Fair Outreach in Rundu reflects the Ministry’s commitment to empowering learners with knowledge and resources that will help them succeed in both education and employment.
