INamibia Crowns Trampoline and Tumbling Champions Ahead of Region 5 Gymnastics Showpiece. The Namibian Gymnastics Federation (NGF) has officially crowned its 2025 national champions in trampoline and tumbling, following a highly competitive national championship hosted by Chalk Gymnastics Club in Windhoek.

The event brought together about 80 gymnasts—boys and girls—from Levels 1 to Senior Olympic, who competed across trampoline, tumbling, double mini-trampoline, and mini-trampoline disciplines. Represented clubs included Moria Gymnastics Club (Outjo), Walvis Bay Gymnastics Club, and two Windhoek-based clubs, Chalk Gymnastics and Windhoek Trampoline.

In the Senior Olympic trampoline category, Walvis Bay’s Jared Isaacs claimed top honours, while Chalk Gymnastics’ Jessica Schlabitz emerged as a standout performer, taking titles in Level 10 trampoline, Level 9 double mini-trampoline, and Level 6 tumbling. Other champions included Jahdiel Synders, Etienne Nel, Anielle Dedig, and Antoné du Preez, who all delivered strong performances across categories.

The competition also celebrated special achievements, with Mia Ann Bruyns receiving the Clarissa Trophy for most improved girl gymnast, and Etienne Nel taking home the Vesselin Kostin Trophy for most improved boy gymnast. The Lance Potgieter Trophy for most passionate gymnast went to Isanrie Dreyer.

Event organiser and FIG Brevet judge Nadine Jaeger praised the standard of competition, describing the performances as “phenomenal.” She highlighted Isaacs’s national title-winning display and commended the steady improvement of Namibia’s young gymnasts.

The championship also served as final trials for the upcoming Region 5 Gymnastics Tournament, to be hosted in Windhoek from 7 to 14 December. Namibia will field teams across all disciplines, competing against South Africa, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Botswana, Angola, Mozambique, and Zambia.
