Nedbank Citi Dash Returns with Bigger Goals and Fresh Energy for 2025 Edition. The 5th edition of the Nedbank Citi Dash was officially launched this morning at the Nedbank Campus in Windhoek, marking the countdown to a reimagined running festival scheduled for 6 and 7 September 2025 at Vegkop Stadium, Windhoek High School.
Nedbank Namibia’s Chief Commercial Officer, JG van Graan, unveiled the revitalised format, highlighting upgraded 5 km and 10 km routes, a vibrant new venue, and the all-new LiveXpo, a lifestyle race village that brings together health, sport, and outdoor living.
“This year, we’ve curated a running experience that can compete with the best on the continent,” said van Graan. “We’re staying true to the Citi Dash spirit while pushing boundaries in innovation and community engagement.”
Race organiser Frank Bombosch added that the event aims to draw 5,000 participants, up from previous editions, and called on media, sponsors, and schools to mobilise communities.
The action begins on Saturday, 6 September with the LiveXpo, offering exhibitors, food stalls, music, and family entertainment. On Sunday, 7 September, runners take to the streets for the elite 10 km race, alongside popular 5 km and 10 km fun runs.
Top Namibian athletes including Rainhold Thomas, Simon Matias, Daniel Paulus, and defending champion Martha Shivolo are expected to compete in the elite category. Entry fees are N$350 for elite runners and N$250 for fun runners, with registration closing on 24 August via EasyReg.
A Schools Challenge will award cash prizes to schools with the highest number of finishers, supporting youth fitness and school engagement.
