Emilia Ekandjo to Represent Namibia at Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships

Emilia Ekandjo to Represent Namibia at Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships. The Namibian Gymnastics Federation (NGF) has officially confirmed that rhythmic gymnast Emilia Ekandjo will represent Namibia at the upcoming 41st FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships. The prestigious global event will take place from 20 to 24 August at the Barra Olympic Park in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Ekandjo, who trains at the Windhoek Rhythmic Club, will be accompanied by her coach, Wietsa Snyman. Her participation marks a significant moment for Namibia’s representation on the international gymnastics stage.

The FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships is one of the sport’s most competitive platforms, bringing together elite gymnasts from across the world. For Namibia, Ekandjo’s inclusion reflects both her personal dedication and the continued efforts of the NGF to develop the sport nationally.

The NGF announced the news on its official platforms, acknowledging the support and work behind the scenes to prepare for such a high-level competition. While rhythmic gymnastics continues to grow in popularity across the country, this development signals a promising step forward in athlete exposure and development.
