NAM Boosts Higher Education with New Round of Bursaries

NAM Boosts Higher Education with New Round of Bursaries. Namibia Asset Management (NAM) has reaffirmed its commitment to education by awarding bursary funding to five students through the UNAM Foundation, continuing a long-standing initiative that has supported dozens of young Namibians over the years.

The latest round of support will benefit four students from the University of Namibia (UNAM) and one from the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST). The bursaries are comprehensive, covering both tuition and non-tuition expenses, such as accommodation and study materials, ensuring recipients can focus fully on their academic goals without financial strain.

Since the programme’s inception in 2013, NAM has committed over N$4.7 million to support more than 40 students. The initiative is part of the company’s broader vision of promoting inclusive development and creating opportunities for promising individuals who may otherwise lack the means to pursue higher education.

The UNAM Foundation has played a key role in identifying eligible candidates and ensuring that the bursary process remains transparent and impactful.

This latest gesture highlights NAM’s continued dedication to social development through education, aligning corporate values with national priorities. By equipping students with the resources to succeed academically, NAM is helping to build a skilled workforce ready to contribute meaningfully to Namibia’s growth.
