The Bank of Namibia (BoN) is set to launch its 2024 Annual Report on Monday, 31 March 2025, with a focus on the theme: “The Economic Impact of Artificial Intelligence.” The report will examine how AI is transforming global value chains, labor markets, financial systems, and productivity, and what this means for Namibia’s economic future.
As AI continues to reshape industries worldwide, the report aims to explore its implications for Namibia’s development agenda and discuss strategic responses the country should consider. Key discussions will address how AI can drive economic growth, financial innovation, and workforce adaptation, ensuring Namibia remains competitive in the evolving global landscape.
The launch event will take place at 09h00 and will be livestreamed on the Bank of Namibia’s Facebook page, providing the public with an opportunity to gain insights into the report’s findings and recommendations.
