Windhoek Launches Youth Entrepreneurship TTraining. The City of Windhoek has announced the opening of registrations for its Generate Your Business Idea (GYB) Training Programme, aimed at unemployed youth, aspiring entrepreneurs, and individuals interested in entrepreneurship and self-employment.

The training will run from 3–5 June 2026 at the Bokamoso Entrepreneurial Centre and forms part of the City’s broader Youth Entrepreneurship Development initiatives. Organizers say the program is designed to equip participants with practical tools to identify, refine, and develop viable business ideas that can contribute to economic growth and job creation.

The GYB programme is offered at a subsidized fee of N$172.50, which covers training materials and refreshments. This affordable cost reflects the City’s commitment to making entrepreneurship training accessible to young people and those seeking opportunities in self-employment.

The initiative emphasizes the importance of nurturing entrepreneurial talent as a pathway to reducing unemployment and fostering innovation. By providing structured training, mentorship, and exposure to entrepreneurial practices, the program aims to empower participants to take the first steps toward building sustainable businesses.
