Windhoek High School Archers Help Namibia Secure Silver at African Federation TTournament. Windhoek High School (WHS) archers have contributed to Namibia’s strong performance at the AGA African Federation Tournament in Lobatse, Botswana, where Namibia secured the overall country silver medal, finishing second in Africa.

The WHS archers represented Namibia across the development and national teams, producing medal-winning performances in the tournament.

The Namibia Development Team, featuring Kian Du Plessis and Zander Louw, secured three gold medals. The team won gold in Bullseye, 2D Animals and the Overall category.

The Namibia National Team, featuring Zeanette Jacobs and Oliver Schmidt under the guidance of coach Hilma Kambonde, also collected three medals. The team earned bronze in Bullseye, 2D Animals and Overall.

Jacobs was also selected for the AGA African Federation Team at the conclusion of the tournament. The team consists of the top 16 archers in Africa, according to Windhoek High School.

Jacobs was identified as the only girl from Namibia selected for the African team. She is set to represent Africa against Canada at the AGA World Tournament in Canada next year.

Her individual results included first place in the National Overall Female and National 2D Overall Female categories. She also finished second in National BE Female and BE Overall Female.

Jacobs recorded further top 10 finishes, including fifth in BE Overall, sixth in Overall Female, sixth in National BE Overall, seventh in Nationals Overall, ninth in 2D Overall Female and 10th in National 2D Overall.

Du Plessis also produced several top 10 results for the Development Team, finishing third in Development BE Overall Male, fourth in Development Overall Male, sixth in Development BE Overall Male and ninth in Development Overall.

Oliver Schmidt and Zander Louw were also credited with contributing performances that helped their respective teams secure medals and supported Namibia’s overall result.
