Trustco Introduces Internship Program for Employees’ Children. Trustco Group Holdings Limited has unveiled its Employee’s Children Internship Program, a new initiative aimed at providing valuable work experience and career development opportunities for the children of current and former employees.
The program is structured to assist recent high school graduates, tertiary students, and young professionals in gaining hands-on industry experience within Trustco’s diverse business sectors.
Janene van den Heever, Chairperson of the Board Remuneration Committee, highlighted the company’s dedication to youth empowerment:”At Trustco, we believe in shaping the future by equipping young minds with the skills and exposure needed to excel in the corporate world. This initiative is not just about internships; it’s about nurturing the next generation of leaders.”
Trustco’s Deputy CEO, Quinton Z van Rooyen, emphasized the company’s long-standing commitment to fostering talent:”Namibia has a rich history of family-owned businesses playing a crucial role in economic growth. This program strengthens that tradition by ensuring that our employees’ families continue to thrive, creating a legacy that spans decades.”
Interns will engage with professionals across Trustco’s business divisions, including insurance, micro-finance, education, real estate, mining, and corporate services. The program will offer mentorship opportunities, hands-on training, and exposure to international business practices, providing interns with insights into global industry trends.
By bridging the gap between education and employment, Trustco aims to empower young professionals while reinforcing its role in Namibia’s economic and human capital development.
