TASTE Eros Closes Doors as Hospitality Group Signals Next Phase. A well-known dining establishment in Windhoek has closed its doors, with TASTE Eros officially ceasing operations with effect from 1 January 2026.
The closure was confirmed on Wednesday in a statement issued to the Namibia Press Agency, bringing an end to the restaurant’s operations in the Eros area of the capital.
Chef and co-owner Nicla Dos Santos said the decision to close TASTE Eros formed part of a planned evolution of the business. He noted that while the announcement marks the conclusion of a significant chapter, it does not signal the end of the TASTE brand or its involvement in Namibia’s hospitality sector.
Dos Santos said TASTE Eros had been an important part of the group’s journey, contributing to the local dining scene and engaging with a broad base of patrons over the years. He described the closure as a deliberate step aligned with longer-term objectives rather than a reactionary decision.
According to the statement, the TASTE hospitality group intends to continue operating and exploring new directions within the culinary space. Dos Santos said the group remains committed to innovation and to reimagining how it contributes to Namibia’s food and hospitality landscape.
He added that the end of operations at the Eros location should be viewed as a transition rather than a conclusion, as the group evaluates new concepts and opportunities.
TASTE Eros had become a familiar name among diners in Windhoek, particularly in Eros, where it built a reputation as a recognised restaurant.
The statement did not provide further details on future projects or timelines but reiterated the group’s intention to remain active within the industry.
The closure takes effect from 1 January 2026, marking the official conclusion of trading at the TASTE Eros location.
