The official handover was marked by remarks from Standard Bank’s Head of Compliance, Roxzaan Witbooi, who emphasized the growing importance of digital capabilities in combating modern crime. As financial and cyber-related crimes become increasingly sophisticated, tools that enable faster data access, efficient documentation, and real-time reporting are essential.

The donated laptops and printers will be deployed to police divisions across all 14 regions of Namibia. This nationwide rollout aims to strengthen operational efficiency and support timely investigations into economic crimes.

The Namibian Police Force welcomed the donation, acknowledging the growing need for technological resources in daily operations. The equipment is expected to streamline workflows, reduce administrative delays, and improve investigative precision.
