Old Mutual Namibia Launches Technovation Hackathon to Revolutionize Customer EExperience. Old Mutual Namibia has officially opened applications for its Technovation Hackathon, inviting innovators, designers, coders, and problem-solvers across the country to reimagine customer experiences through digital solutions. The initiative focuses on transforming real customer pain points into seamless, human-centered self-service journeys.

The hackathon, running from 3 to 16 November 2025, encourages teams of 2–4 participants with skills in design, product development, data/AI, engineering, customer experience, or research to submit new ideas or early-stage concepts. Participants will have the opportunity to develop testable digital solutions that address high-value customer journeys for Old Mutual clients and advisers.

Participants stand to gain more than just recognition. The hackathon offers N$100,000 in prizes, alongside expert mentorship to guide teams through the creation of a viable minimum viable product (MVP). This combination of financial incentives and professional guidance aims to turn innovative ideas into real-world solutions that can enhance customer service and operational efficiency.

Old Mutual Namibia emphasises that the event is designed to foster human-centered innovation, encouraging participants to focus on simplicity, usability, and customer satisfaction. By leveraging technology and design thinking, teams can create self-service tools that streamline interactions, reduce friction, and improve overall user experience.

The hackathon also represents an opportunity for participants to collaborate with peers, gain industry insights, and position themselves as innovators in Namibia’s growing tech ecosystem. With digital transformation becoming increasingly central to business strategy, initiatives like the Technovation Hackathon highlight the role of local talent in driving meaningful change.

Applications are now open, and Old Mutual Namibia encourages all eligible innovators to seize this opportunity to showcase their skills and contribute to reshaping customer experiences.
