NUST Launches Digital Arts and Animation Department to Boost Creative Skills. The Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) has officially introduced its Department of Digital Arts and Animation (DAA), providing a platform for individuals seeking practical skills in the growing fields of digital media, animation, film, and television production.
This newly established department, housed within the Faculty of Computing and Informatics, is designed to support both beginners and professionals by offering specialized training aligned with industry needs. The launch marks a step towards expanding opportunities for creatives looking to build careers in the digital content and media sector.
Applications for the 2025 academic year are set to open on Monday, 3 March 2025. The department will offer five accredited short courses aimed at equipping participants with essential skills in various areas of digital production. Through these programmes, participants will have the chance to learn the fundamentals of storytelling, animation techniques, and production processes, helping them prepare for work in Namibia’s evolving creative industries.
