NUST Expands Global Reach with UK and Malta Partnerships

NUST Expands Global Reach with UK and Malta Partnerships. The Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) has taken a significant step toward internationalisation by signing two key agreements aimed at expanding academic collaborations and enhancing accessibility in education.

The first agreement, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), was signed between NUST and the Nurture Higher Education Group (UK), a transnational education provider focused on increasing global learning opportunities. The MoU will support NUST’s strategy to internationalise its education framework through a Global Academy Partnership Model, creating new avenues for student and faculty development.

NUST Vice-Chancellor Prof. Erold Naomab emphasized the transformative potential of this collaboration. “This agreement paves the way for transformative academic engagement, providing our students and staff with invaluable global exposure,” he stated during the signing ceremony.

Mr. Oscar Colin, representing Nurture Higher Education Group, commended NUST’s commitment to internationalisation. “NUST is at the forefront of embracing internationalisation, and we are excited to collaborate in shaping the future of transnational education,” he remarked.

In a separate initiative, NUST also signed a Collaboration Agreement with the Foundation for Information Technology Accessibility (FITA), Malta. This partnership will focus on enhancing digital accessibility and developing solutions to support students with disabilities, reinforcing NUST’s dedication to inclusive education.

The signing ceremonies were attended by prominent figures, including Dominic McVey, Honourary Consul of Namibia to Wales; H.E. Linda Scott, Namibia’s High Commissioner to the UK, Malta, Greece, and Ireland; and Charles Moore, representing the British High Commissioner to Namibia.
