Nedbank Citi Dash Set to Draw More Than 2,000 Runners in WWindhoek. Preparations have been completed for the sixth edition of the Nedbank Citi Dash, with more than 2,000 runners expected to participate in the annual road-running event in Windhoek on Sunday, 6 September.

The event, described as Namibia’s biggest spring road-running event, will take place at Windhoek High School’s (WHS) Vegkop Stadium, which will serve as both the starting and finishing venue.

The stadium will host the event for the second consecutive year after the Nedbank Citi Dash was moved to the venue in 2025. The move marked a change in the location used for the event, with Vegkop Stadium continuing in the role for the 2026 edition.

With preparations now complete, organisers are expecting more than 2,000 runners to take to the streets of Windhoek for the sixth edition.

The Nedbank Citi Dash has established itself as a spring road-running event on Namibia’s sporting calendar, with this year’s race marking its sixth edition.

The use of Vegkop Stadium as both the start and finish venue means participants will begin and conclude their event activities at the Windhoek High School facility.

The 2026 edition is scheduled for Sunday, 6 September, with the event set to bring runners onto the streets of Windhoek.

The continued use of Vegkop Stadium follows the successful move to the venue in 2025. This year’s event will therefore be the second consecutive edition hosted at the WHS stadium.

More than 2,000 runners are expected to participate, although the final number of participants will only be known once the event takes place.

With preparations complete, attention now turns to Sunday’s race as runners prepare to participate in the sixth Nedbank Citi Dash.
