NamWater Responds to Pipeline Breakage Affecting Northern Namibia. NamWater has confirmed a pipe breakage on the Ondangwa-Omutsegwonime pipeline, which occurred at approximately 20:00 on March 24, 2025. The incident has disrupted water supply to several areas, including Ondangwa, Oniipa, Omuthiya Town Council, and surrounding constituencies toward Omutsegwonime

The national water supply utility stated that its maintenance team is already on-site working to restore the water supply as soon as possible. NamWater has assured residents and businesses that repair efforts are being prioritized to minimize the impact on affected communities.

While the timeline for full restoration has not yet been confirmed, NamWater has urged residents in the affected areas to use available water sparingly until normal supply resumes. Communities relying on the pipeline are advised to make alternative arrangements where possible.

Residents are encouraged to stay updated through official NamWater channels for further announcements regarding the progress of the repairs.
