Namibian Youth Invited to Showcase Tourism Innovation at AYITS 2025. Young entrepreneurs in Namibia with innovative ideas in the tourism sector now have an opportunity to showcase their projects at the upcoming Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Summit (AYITS) & Challenge. The competition, which is open for expressions of interest, aims to identify groundbreaking projects that have the potential to transform the tourism industry.

Hosted by Africa Tourism Partners, TEAMS Africa, UN Tourism, and BDO, AYITS serves as a premier platform for young innovators and start-ups in the tourism industry. The initiative provides participants with the chance to present their ideas to industry leaders, gain mentorship, and secure potential funding and partnerships.

The competition will recognize the top five finalists, who will:

  • Showcase their ideas to industry leaders, mentors, and potential partners.
  • Receive guidance from experienced professionals.
  • Gain funding and partnership opportunities to advance their projects.

Interested applicants are encouraged to apply directly through the official summit website at youthtourismsummit.com. The closing date for submissions is February 28, 2025.

This initiative highlights the importance of innovation in the tourism sector, extending beyond technology to include creative solutions that enhance the industry’s growth and sustainability. The Namibia Tourism Board, along with other stakeholders, is supporting the program as part of efforts to encourage youth participation in shaping the future of tourism in Africa.

Aspiring young entrepreneurs in tourism are urged to seize this opportunity to elevate their projects and contribute to the sector’s advancement.
