Namibia Strengthens Energy and Industrial Ties at 2025 US–Africa Business Summit

Namibia Strengthens Energy and Industrial Ties at 2025 US–Africa Business Summit. Team Namibia marked a strong presence at the 2025 US–Africa Business Summit held from 22–25 June in Luanda, Angola, with the Ministry of Industries, Mines and Energy (MIME) playing a key role in advancing Namibia’s investment priorities.

The Namibian delegation, led by President H.E. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, included Deputy Minister Hon. Gaudentia Krönhe, Executive Director Mr. Ben Nangombe, and senior MIME officials. Their participation underscored Namibia’s intent to deepen economic ties with the United States and other international partners, particularly in the strategic sectors of energy, mining, and industrial development.

Throughout the summit, MIME delegates engaged in bilateral meetings, policy roundtables, and business networking sessions aimed at attracting responsible foreign investment and promoting Namibia as a destination for sustainable industrial growth. Key topics included clean energy transitions, mineral beneficiation, and the development of industrial value chains.

The Summit, held under the theme “Partners in Prosperity: U.S.–Africa Investment for Sustainable Growth”, brought together over 2,000 participants, including African Heads of State, U.S. government officials, investors, and private sector leaders. It provided a valuable platform to highlight Namibia’s policy environment, commitment to green industrialisation, and infrastructure readiness.

Namibia’s delegation also explored avenues for technical cooperation and trade facilitation, focusing on enhancing local manufacturing capacity, scaling up energy access, and fostering skills development in alignment with national development goals.
