Namibia Selects Strong Under-19 Squad for AUSC Region 5 Games. Netball Namibia has finalized its Under-19 national team for the upcoming African Union Sports Council (AUSC) Region 5 Games, set to take place in Windhoek from July 4 to 13, 2025.

The selection process took place over the weekend, where 27 top-performing young athletes from the 2024 Namibia Youth Games in Oshakati competed for a place on the team. After a thorough assessment of skill, fitness, and teamwork, 15 players were chosen to represent the nation at the prestigious regional tournament.

Meet Namibia’s U19 Squad: Reze Garbes (GS – Khomas), Alisha Ludik (GA – Khomas), Kuruuo Jennifer (GA – Omaheke), Muundjua Uapandera (GK, Khomas), Godlove Victor (GS – Oshana), Hailey Kidd (C- Khomas), Gloria Kurangera (WD – Khomas), Richildis Maseka (WD – Kavango East), Rauha Shikwaya (WA – //Kharas), Angel Uapingene (C – Khomas), Igna Kaaronda (GD – Khomas), Hope Kazandovi (GD – Khomas), Ndala John (GD – Erongo), Hileni Thomas (GD – Oshikoto) and Marike Weitz (GK- Khomas).

Netball Namibia expressed confidence in the squad, congratulating the selected athletes: “Your dedication, hard work, and passion for the sport have earned you this opportunity. We are eager to see you showcase your talent on the international stage. “The federation also called on fans to support the team as they prepare for the competition: “We encourage all Namibians to rally behind our young netball stars. Their journey is a testament to the growth of netball in the country.”
