Namibia Breweries Supports Windhoek Clean-Up Campaign with Water Donation

Namibia Breweries Supports Windhoek Clean-Up Campaign with Water Donation. Namibia Breweries Limited (NBL) has become the first corporate partner to support the City of Windhoek’s city-wide Clean-Up Campaign, donating 17 cases of bottled water ahead of the initiative’s official launch.

The campaign, which will run across all 13 constituencies until November, aims to restore Windhoek’s reputation as one of the cleanest cities in Africa. The bottled water, produced by NBL, will be used to support clean-up teams during the initiative’s rollout.

The donation was formally received by Mr. Maanda Fanuel, Strategic Executive for Housing, Property Management & Human Settlements, on behalf of the City’s CEO. Expressing gratitude, Her Worship Mayor Ndeshihafela Larandja commended NBL for their quick and meaningful response.

Representing NBL, Mr. Waldemar von Lieres emphasized the company’s commitment to environmental stewardship and its connection to the city. “We live in this beautiful city too, and our brand is proudly tied to Windhoek. Our goal is zero waste to landfill, so this campaign aligns closely with our values,” he said.

The Clean-Up Campaign highlights the importance of cross-sector partnerships in building a sustainable and livable city. With NBL setting the tone, the City of Windhoek hopes more businesses and residents will join the effort.
