Namibia and Brazil Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation. Her Excellency Vivian Loss Sanmartin, Ambassador of Brazil to Namibia, met with Honourable Selma Ashipala-Musavyi, Minister of International Relations and Trade, to discuss avenues for strengthening ties between the two nations.
During the meeting, Ambassador Sanmartin congratulated Minister Ashipala-Musavyi on her recent appointment and reaffirmed Brazil’s commitment to deepening diplomatic and economic cooperation with Namibia. The discussions focused on mutual interests, including trade, investment, and sectoral partnerships.
Both officials acknowledged the 30th anniversary of Namibia-Brazil naval cooperation, highlighting the success of their long-standing security collaboration. They expressed a shared interest in expanding cooperation within the broader security sector, emphasizing the importance of continued partnership
Minister Ashipala-Musavyi reiterated Namibia’s commitment to strengthening ties with Brazil in key priority sectors, including food security, agribusiness, and manufacturing. She also emphasized the importance of technical collaboration in the oil and gas sector, an area with potential for increased investment and knowledge exchange between the two countries.
