Kharas Region Appoints Coaches for U20 Newspaper Cup, Sets Trial Date. Kharas Region Football has officially appointed Kallen ‘Brakes’ Esau, coach of Aroab Football Academy, as the U20 Head Coach. He will co-coach the team alongside Tolla Julius, a seasoned coach formerly with Young Brazilians FC.
The appointments mark a crucial step in preparing for the upcoming U20 Newspaper Cup, a prestigious youth football tournament aimed at showcasing and developing young talent across Namibia.
To build a strong squad, the Kharas Region will hold U20 trials on Saturday, 8 March 2025, at J. Stephanus Stadium in Keetmanshoop. The technical team will also evaluate players during the highly anticipated Governor’s Cup, using the tournament as an additional selection platform.
With these appointments and planned trials, Kharas Region Football is focused on assembling a competitive team capable of making a strong impact in the Newspaper Cup. Young players aspiring to represent the region are encouraged to participate in the trials and demonstrate their skills on the field.
