Irvinne Simataa Appointed Second Vice President of Namibia’s Chamber of Mines. The Chamber of Mines of Namibia has announced the appointment of Mr. Irvinne Simataa as its Second Vice President for the 2025–2027 term. The announcement was made during the Chamber’s Annual General Meeting held on 23 April 2025.
Mr. Simataa currently serves as Executive Vice President at Swakop Uranium, operator of the Husab Mine—one of the largest uranium mines in the world. His appointment reflects growing recognition of his leadership within Namibia’s mining sector.
As Second Vice President, Mr. Simataa will support the Chamber’s mission to promote, protect, and foster responsible mining practices in Namibia. His role will include contributing to key policy discussions, representing the interests of mining companies, and working with stakeholders to address sector-wide challenges.
