International Stars Arrive for Windhoek Jazz Festival 2025 Performances

International Stars Arrive for Windhoek Jazz Festival 2025 Performances. Ahead of the Windhoek Jazz Festival 2025 on Saturday, international artists visiting Namibia paid a courtesy call to the City of Windhoek’s Chief Executive, Moses Matyayi, as part of preparations for their upcoming performances.

The artists, who arrived in Windhoek earlier in the day, are set to headline a star-studded festival lineup that includes Sipho “Hotstix” Mabuse (South Africa), Kelly Khumalo (South Africa), Moreira Chonguiça (Mozambique), Sereetsi & The Natives (Botswana), and Henry Philemon (South Africa). Zama Jobe (South Africa) was unable to attend the visit, focusing on rehearsals with the local band she will perform with on Saturday.

During the visit, Matyayi welcomed the artists and expressed his anticipation for their performances. “We can’t wait to see you perform and serenade us with your incredible talents,” he said, highlighting the festival’s role in celebrating music, culture, and entertainment.

The international artists will share the stage with Namibia’s top local talent, including Bongani Soul, Sigera Jazz Jazz, Swingers Jazz Band, Ugly Creatures, Esme Songbird, Botselo, and Harmonic Grooves. The combination of local and international performers promises a dynamic festival experience, blending diverse jazz styles and musical influences.

The Windhoek Jazz Festival continues to grow as one of Namibia’s premier cultural events, drawing music enthusiasts from across the region. For local businesses and entrepreneurs, the festival presents opportunities in tourism, hospitality, and entertainment services, contributing to the city’s economic vibrancy.

As the city prepares to host the festival, organisers and the City of Windhoek are ensuring that both performers and attendees enjoy a memorable and seamless experience, reinforcing Windhoek’s reputation as a hub for arts and culture in Southern Africa.
