Goethe-Institut Namibia Opens Applications for 2026 Germany Artist Residency. The Goethe-Institut Namibia has opened applications for a six-month artist residency in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, inviting local creatives to apply before the 8 July 2025 deadline. The residency will take place from March to August 2026 and is aimed at fostering cross-cultural collaboration and artistic development.

This opportunity is open to Namibian artists working in a broad spectrum of disciplines, including visual and performing arts, literature, sound and music, design, and art education. According to the Goethe-Institut, two selected artists will live and work together in Baden-Württemberg, encouraging mutual exchange and support throughout the program.

The residency offers a platform for artists to immerse themselves in diverse cultural contexts and collaborate across disciplines. It will culminate in public-facing events such as exhibitions, readings, workshops, and discussions, providing participants with the chance to showcase their work and connect with audiences abroad.
