FNB Namibia Supports Foot and Ankle Surgery Initiative with N$200,000 Donation

FNB Namibia Supports Foot and Ankle Surgery Initiative with N$200,000 Donation. FNB Namibia has contributed N$200,000 to the Steps2Walk Outreach Project, reaffirming its commitment to social impact and accessible healthcare. The initiative focuses on delivering life-changing foot and ankle surgeries while simultaneously enhancing the expertise of local orthopaedic surgeons.

The Steps2Walk project addresses a pressing need in Namibia by offering surgical care for individuals suffering from debilitating foot and ankle deformities—conditions that often limit mobility, independence, and quality of life. By supporting this programme, FNB Namibia plays a vital role in expanding access to specialised medical care.

The donation also supports the educational component of the initiative. Through hands-on training and collaboration, Namibian orthopaedic surgeons are gaining exposure to advanced techniques, enabling them to continue treating similar cases long after the outreach concludes. This ensures that the impact of the project will extend well beyond the current group of beneficiaries.

In a statement shared by the bank, FNB Namibia highlighted the significance of community investment in driving national development: “We are proud to contribute to this noble cause and help build a Namibia where everyone—regardless of background or ability—has the opportunity to live a full and productive life.”

The donation aligns with the bank’s broader social responsibility campaign under the banner #HelpChangesEverything, a platform that supports health, education, and community empowerment initiatives across the country.
