FNB Namibia Donates N$100,000 to Thinus Bakkes Overnight Shelter. FNB Namibia, through the FirstRand Namibia Foundation, has donated N$100,000 to the Thinus Bakkes Overnight Shelter, contributing to facility improvements aimed at enhancing the shelter’s services.
The donation was used to acquire a gas stove, new bedding, a storage cabinet, and refurbished kitchen benches. These additions are intended to support the shelter’s operations and assist residents.
In addition to the financial contribution, WesBank, a division of FNB Namibia, participated in a volunteer initiative at the shelter. The team served meals and distributed gift packs to residents.
FNB Namibia stated that the contribution aligns with its commitment to supporting Namibian communities through the FirstRad Namibia Foundation.
The Thinus Bakkes Overnight Shelter provides overnight accommodation and related services. The donation is expected to contribute to the shelter’s ongoing efforts.
