City of Windhoek Announces Temporary Water Interruption in Havana on 11 November. The City of Windhoek has issued a public notice informing residents of Havana about a scheduled water supply interruption on Tuesday, 11 November 2025, from 08:00 to 16:30.
According to the municipality, the temporary disruption is necessary to facilitate ongoing roadworks at the intersection of Matshitshi Road and Eneas Peter Nanyemba Drive. The works are part of essential infrastructure maintenance aimed at improving road conditions and ensuring long-term service reliability in the area.
During the maintenance period, residents in the affected areas may experience low water pressure or complete water supply interruptions. The City has urged residents to plan ahead by storing sufficient water for household and daily use before the interruption begins.
“The City of Windhoek regrets any inconvenience this may cause and appreciates the cooperation and understanding of the public as we continue to improve essential infrastructure,” the notice stated.
The municipality also encouraged residents to use water sparingly during and after the interruption to help restore normal supply levels more efficiently once work is completed.
This temporary disruption underscores the city’s ongoing efforts to balance infrastructure upgrades with community needs, ensuring that future service delivery remains reliable and sustainable.
