FirstRand Namibia Foundation Donates N$175,000 to Support SPCA’s Animal Welfare Work. The FirstRand Namibia Foundation has donated N$175,000 to the SPCA to support the organisation’s ongoing efforts to shelter, protect, and care for animals in need across the country.

The contribution was announced by FNB Namibia, which said the donation reflects its continued support for initiatives that make a meaningful impact within communities. The funding is intended to assist the SPCA in sustaining its core operations as it carries out its mandate of animal welfare and protection.

The SPCA plays a central role in providing care for vulnerable animals, including shelter, basic healthcare, and protection from neglect and abuse. Its work relies heavily on partnerships and financial support from organisations and individuals committed to animal welfare.

FNB Namibia said it is honoured to support the SPCA through the FirstRand Namibia Foundation, noting the importance of organisations that serve communities with compassion and consistency. The bank highlighted the SPCA as an example of how community-focused institutions can create positive change through dedicated service.

The donation is expected to contribute towards the SPCA’s continued ability to respond to animal welfare needs and maintain its services. While the specific allocation of the funds was not detailed, the support is aimed at strengthening the organisation’s capacity to carry out its mission.

In acknowledging the SPCA’s work, FNB Namibia expressed appreciation for the organisation’s role in promoting care and responsibility towards animals. The bank also encouraged broader community support for animal welfare initiatives, emphasising the collective responsibility involved in safeguarding the wellbeing of animals.

The FirstRand Namibia Foundation regularly supports initiatives aligned with social development and community upliftment. Through this donation, the Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to supporting causes that address real needs and contribute to long-term positive outcomes.

The SPCA continues to depend on partnerships and donations to sustain its operations and advance animal welfare efforts nationwide.
