EEP Africa Opens Nominations for 2025 Project of the Year Award. EEP Africa has announced that nominations are now open for the 2025 Project of the Year award, an annual recognition aimed at celebrating outstanding clean energy initiatives across Southern and Eastern Africa. The award highlights EEP Africa funded projects that demonstrate meaningful impact, strong scalability potential and contributions to sustainable development.

According to the call for nominations, eligible projects must show clear evidence of success in expanding clean energy access while supporting social, economic and environmental progress. The nomination period is already underway, with submissions accepted until 5 December 2025.

Full details, including requirements and the online nomination portal, are available on the EEP Africa website: https://eepafrica.org/news/eep-africa-project-of-the-year-2025-call-for-nominations

For Namibian entrepreneurs and businesses active in renewable energy, the award presents an opportunity to position local innovations on a regional platform. Companies working in solar solutions, clean cooking, mini grid development, energy storage, or productive use of energy technologies may find the recognition valuable in strengthening their visibility and expanding their networks.

Past recipients have often benefitted from increased investor interest and stronger partnerships within the clean energy ecosystem. With the sector playing a growing role in economic diversification across the region, the award provides a space to showcase scalable models that address energy challenges in rural and urban settings.

By encouraging submissions from impactful projects, EEP Africa continues to support the transition toward clean energy and promote initiatives that align with long term sustainability goals. Stakeholders are encouraged to submit nominations before the December deadline to highlight projects contributing to an expanded and greener energy landscape.
