During the visit, the delegation engaged with the regional leadership of MEIYSAC and held discussions with key stakeholders, including representatives from local schools and selected ECD centers. These engagements highlighted the operational framework of the feeding program and the importance of coordinated implementation at regional level.
As part of the outreach, the team also inspected food storage facilities at the Community Empowerment Center in Keetmanshoop, underscoring the importance of proper storage and distribution systems to ensure consistent supply of nutritional meals.
The initiative focuses on the provision of instant porridge meals to young learners, aiming to strengthen child nutrition while supporting early education outcomes. By addressing nutritional needs at an early stage, the program seeks to contribute to improved learning capacity and overall child development.
