Boxing Promoter Imms Moses Urges Corporate Namibia to Back Upcoming Tournament. Namibian boxing promoter and trainer Imms Moses is calling on the Ministry of Sport and the private sector to support his upcoming boxing event, scheduled for 16 August 2025. The tournament, organised by AC Boxing Promotion, will feature a headline bout involving undefeated WBO Africa Super Featherweight Champion Flame “Special One” Nangolo.Xsan

Despite Nangolo’s international success and the growing potential of Namibian boxing, Moses says the lack of financial backing from local companies and government institutions continues to hinder the sport’s development.

Moses thanked those who have offered support, however small, but admitted that he has often had to fund events out of his own pocket. He specifically appealed to companies like MTC, which sponsor other boxing stables, to consider extending support to his promotion.

Meanwhile, Flame Nangolo, who holds an impressive 13-0 record, is currently in the final stages of an intensive training camp at Knucklehead Gym in Las Vegas, USA. There, he’s been sparring with elite fighters, including former WBA and WBC champion Regis Prograis, and training alongside rising stars DJ Zamora and Camel Motton.
