Young Namibian Swimmers Shine at Angola Championship. A team of young Namibian swimmers returned home triumphant after delivering standout performances at the recently concluded international swimming championship in Luanda, Angola.
The event, held from 30 May to 01 June 2025, brought together some of the region’s most promising aquatic athletes, and Namibia’s representatives made their mark with a series of medal-winning finishes.
Pictured after their success are swimmers José Canjulo (19), Jessica Humphrey (17), Ainoa Naukosho (14), and Lorenzo Esterhuizen (16), joined by their coach, Dentie Louw. The team proudly displayed their medals following days of high-level competition, which tested both individual endurance and team coordination.
The success of these four young athletes is likely to inspire a new wave of interest in swimming across Namibia. Their achievements highlight the importance of continued investment in youth sports and the potential of Namibian athletes when given the chance to shine.
