Namibia Prepares to Host 3rd Oil and Gas Conference in August 2025. The third edition of the Namibia Oil and Gas Conference will take place from 12 to 15 August 2025 at the Mercure Hotel in Windhoek, the organisers confirmed this week.
Endorsed by the Ministry of Mines and Energy, the event is hosted by the Economic Association of Namibia (EAN) in collaboration with the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB), Hanns Seidel Foundation, NAMCOR, and SNC Incorporated.
This year’s theme, “From Exploration to Action: Positioning Namibia as the Next Energy Frontier,” is aimed at developing practical approaches to harness the country’s growing oil and gas potential.
EAN Vice-Chairperson Jesaya Hano-Oshike said the event is set to attract significant participation, with 1,012 delegates, 29 sponsors and partners, 42 exhibitors, 71 speakers, and representation from 35 countries. The line-up reflects the rising global interest in Namibia’s energy prospects.
The programme includes a local content supplier masterclass, a two-day technical conference, and an investment matchmaking platform led by NIPDB. A special focus will be given to showcasing technologies and services in the oil, gas, and energy sectors, as well as creating mentorship opportunities for young professionals.
Margareth Gustavo, NIPDB Executive Director for Strategy and Branding, highlighted the importance of ensuring that investments in the energy sector lead to job creation and long-term economic benefits. She outlined three focus areas for this year: expanding investment-ready supply chains, increasing local content, and boosting youth employment through skills development.
