NFCPT Expands Catch Them Young Campaign to Promote Fish Consumption. The Namibian Fish Consumption Promotion Trust (NFCPT) has launched the third edition of its Catch Them Young Educational Campaign, an initiative aimed at encouraging fish consumption among school children. The launch took place on 26 March 2025 at Ovituambu Primary School in the Kunene region.

The campaign seeks to instill a culture of fish consumption at the grassroots level, based on the idea that children influence household dietary choices. By educating young learners about the nutritional benefits of fish, NFCPT hopes to increase local demand and consumption of fish across Namibian communities.

The campaign will continue across Kunene until 28 March 2025, before expanding to the //Karas and Hardap regions. NFCPT remains committed to its mission of making fish an accessible and preferred protein source nationwide.
