Windhoek Welcomes Newly Elected Junior Council Executives. The City of Windhoek has officially announced the newly elected Junior Council Executives, marking a new chapter in youth leadership and civic engagement. The council, comprised of dynamic young leaders, will play a key role in representing the voices of Windhoek’s youth while actively participating in community development initiatives.

Cllr. Milano Gogol from Gymnasium High School has been elected as the Junior Mayor, with Cllr. Elister Groenewald from St. Paulus College serving as Deputy Junior Mayor. Cllr. Esther Moses from Ella Du Plessis takes on the role of Treasurer, while Cllr. Jade Chiyeye from Windhoek Technical High School has been appointed as Secretary.

The Junior Council serves as an important platform for young leaders to gain firsthand experience in governance, decision-making, and public service. Through their roles, the newly elected executives will engage in various projects aimed at addressing youth-related challenges and fostering community development.
