Tuhafeni David Earns First Senior National Team Call-Up for World Cup Qualifiers. Blue Waters FC right-back Tuhafeni “Tua” David has been named in the senior national team squad for the first time, earning a call-up for Namibia’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The 24-year-old defender, who developed his skills at Young United FC Academy, joins the national setup after years of steady progression in local football. Young United has produced several notable players, including Mbakondja, Tjiueza, Aprocius, and Steven Damaseb.

David’s football journey began at Duinesig Combined School in Walvis Bay. In 2019, at just 16 years old, he signed with Blue Waters FC and made his senior debut in a high-scoring 3-3 draw against Young Brazilians. Over the years, he has established himself as a key player in Namibia’s domestic league.

His international experience includes representing Namibia at youth level, first with the U20 team in 2020 and later with the U23 squad in 2023. His performances have now earned him an opportunity to showcase his talent on the senior stage.

David’s inclusion in the national team is a significant milestone in his career as he prepares to compete in the prestigious World Cup qualification matches. Further details on the squad’s preparations and fixtures will be announced in due course.
